Tushar Tayal is a leadership mentor, community builder, and purpose-driven entrepreneur, recognized as India’s youngest JCI Senator and a global youth leader. Born in Tezpur, Assam, his journey began in a small town with big dreams and limited visibility — a foundation that continues to shape his people-first approach to leadership.

A valedictorian graduate from SP Jain School of Global Management (GPA 4.212/4.3), Tushar was felicitated at Rashtrapati Bhavan after securing All India Rank 1 in the CBSE AISSCE 2019. At just 17, he launched “Travel Idea,” a travel consultancy rooted in trust and empowerment, helping young people believe their aspirations could cross borders.

A former Chief Delegate of JCI India, Tushar became the youngest Indian to complete the JCI Global Grand Slam in 2025, representing India across four continents and engaging with leaders from 80+ nationalities through JCI events — from Honduras to South Africa, Denmark to Mongolia. Beyond titles and travel, his work remains focused on mentoring youth, representing his culture, and creating opportunities for leaders from towns like his.

Born and raised in Tezpur, Assam, my upbringing instilled in me not only a deep appreciation for learning but also a profound sense of curiosity and exploration. My formative years were characterised by a profound connection to nature and an appreciation for our diverse heritage.

SCHOOLING

I completed my schooling at Army Public School in Tezpur. It was here that I discovered my passion for learning and honed my leadership skills, excelling in debate competitions and serving as the Head Boy.

RANK l ACROSS INDIA

In the CBSE AISSCE 2019 exams (Class 12), I was fortunate to achieve Rank l across India, an accomplishment that filled me with gratitude and humility. It was a humbling experience to have my efforts recognized by President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, an honor that I will always cherish.

HIGHER EDUCATION

Motivated by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to broaden my horizons, I decided to pursue higher education at the prestigious SP Jain School of Global Management, which took me across Singapore, Dubai, and Sydney. I held various leadership positions at college, like consistently being part of the Students Council, and serving as president of the Entrepreneurship club.
