About
Tushar Tayal
Tushar Tayal is a leadership mentor, community builder, and entrepreneur with a purpose. A former Chief Delegate at JCI India. Born in Tezpur, Assam, Tushar’s journey began in a small town with big dreams and little visibility. At just 17, he launched a travel consultancy i.e. “Travel Idea” rooted in trust and empowerment, helping young people believe their dreams could cross borders. Over the years, he’s become the youngest Indian to complete the JCI grand slam—representing India across four continents from Honduras to South Africa. Denmark to Mongolia and earning accolades like ‘Best Country Delegate’ in a UN simulation. But for Tushar, success isn’t about titles or travel—it’s about showing up with heart, representing his culture, and mentoring youth from towns like his.
EARLY YEARS
Born and raised in Tezpur, Assam, my upbringing instilled in me not only a deep appreciation for learning but also a profound sense of curiosity and exploration. My formative years were characterised by a profound connection to nature and an appreciation for our diverse heritage.
SCHOOLING
I completed my schooling at Army Public School in Tezpur. It was here that I discovered my passion for learning and honed my leadership skills, excelling in debate competitions and serving as the Head Boy.
RANK l ACROSS INDIA
In the CBSE AISSCE 2019 exams (Class 12), I was fortunate to achieve Rank l across India, an accomplishment that filled me with gratitude and humility. It was a humbling experience to have my efforts recognized by President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, an honor that I will always cherish.
HIGHER EDUCATION
Motivated by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to broaden my horizons, I decided to pursue higher education at the prestigious SP Jain School of Global Management, which took me across Singapore, Dubai, and Sydney. I held various leadership positions at college, like consistently being part of the Students Council, and serving as president of the Entrepreneurship club.
